KMFA in Bridgehampton is pleased to annouce two new exhibitions:
Upstairs: RE-MERGE curated by Heidi Lee Komaromi (through Sept. 12th)
Downstairs: August Women curated by Elena Prohaska (through Sept. 6th)
KMFA in Bridgehampton is pleased present the last exhibition in a series of four invited curators who will take over the upstairs space at the gallery over the summer. Heidi Lee Komaromi has curated the exhibition RE_MERGE - a group exhibition with work by Nicole Cohen, Steve Miller, Aldara Ortega, and Tatyana Murray.
All are involved with new technologies to raise awareness about conservation and ecology. In the courtyard a digital installation will play digital NFT artworks in collaboration with the online platform UltrArt, and viewers will be able to bid in realtime via mobile devices. NFT works are by Christine Davis, Olga Ozerskaya, Firouz Farmanfarmaian, Max Lemaire and Daniel Lismore, with Dan Simerman's ZED RUN, a digital horse racing site.
KMFA in Bridgehampton is also pleased to present “August Women,” curated by Elena Prohaska in our downstairs gallery. This group show features painting and sculpture by 11 contemporary artists - Laurie Lambrecht, Monica Banks, Nancy Cohen, Denise Regan, Pamela Morgan, Nina Gillman, Katie DeGroot, Josette Urso, Marilla Palmer, Yolanda Sanchez and Bastienne Schmidt.
Each artist continues to bring fresh energy and vision to their work and all draw on basic elements of light, air, color, patterns in nature waking up our senses with self-assured and renewed inspiration. We can count on their ability to be original, unique, and satisfying to our eyes.
