NEW YORK, NY –– August 6th, 2024 –– Kathryn Markel Fine Arts is delighted to
announce an upcoming exhibition of works in the collection, Forward: Our First Chapter. The exhibition will take place from August 5th to September 4th at 179 10th Avenue.
Forward features one work from each artist exhibited in the first year of the gallery’s 10th avenue location. As such, this exhibition seeks not only to honor the gallery’s most recent season, but each artist’s formidable practice and the evolutions that have occurred since we opened our doors.
The show will feature works by Stanley Bielen, Nancy Cohen, Peter Stephens, Josette Urso, and Eric Johnson. These artists’ distinct formal languages coalesce to embody the values that Kathryn Markel has long strived to represent: aesthetic harmony, intellectual rigor, and accessibility.
The exhibition will feature new works by each artist, demonstrating Kathryn Markel’s commitment to nurturing creative practice across time.
