This new exhibition of paintings by Deborah Dancy is a big departure for her. Before, Deborah's paintings were bold with bright colors and eccentric, odd shapes – but they were all solid. Now, her work is the exact opposite. It's elusive and vague – shapes and gestures come in and out of a misty space that hides and reveals. It reflects fragility, which you can see in these pieces – nothing is solid or defined.
It doesn't initially look like it, but this work has a lot of color. In real life, you can see that there are many colors behind and revolving in this misty space.
