Deborah Dancy discusses her work and inspiration in this intimate studio visit from January 2012 with Christopher Joy and Zachary Keeting from Gorky's Granddaughter.
“Things evolve and enter your life, whatever you’re engaged in, and for me, it enters my painting. It’s a way of making abstraction personal,” says Dancy.
Joy and Keeting run Gorky's Granddaughter, a documentary art project where they visit artists and talk to them in their studios. They have conducted well over a hundred of these projects, and you can view their videos on their blog.
